Melanie Leth has been practicing law in Southeastern Minnesota since 2001. Melanie currently practices in all aspects of litigation including civil matters, such as boundary and contract disputes; family matters, representing clients in marital dissolutions, paternity, child custody, child support, post-dissolution and adoptions; criminal matters, such as drunk driving and other traffic offenses; and personal injury matters. She works with clients to resolve issues early-on, litigating only when settlement cannot be reached. Melanie has successfully represented clients at the trial court level as well as before the Minnesota Court of Appeals.

Melanie has been admitted to practice law before the courts in the State of Minnesota since 2001 and before the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota since 2002.
PROFESSIONAL AND COMMUNITY SERVICE:
Melanie serves her local community by acting as Deputy City Attorney for the City of Dodge Center where she handles the prosecution of misdemeanor and gross misdemeanor offenses on behalf of the City. She acts as a volunteer attorney with Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services donating her legal services to local indigent citizens. Melanie is also a member of the Kasson Association for Restoration serving as Secretary of the Board of Directors.
Melanie is currently a member of the Dodge and Olmsted County Bar Associations, the Minnesota State Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association and the Women Attorneys of Rochester. She has been a past member of the Hennepin County Bar Association and the Minnesota Women Lawyers.
